Romania's biggest oil company Petrom plans to build a natural gas deposit with a capacity of two billion cubic meters for the total transit of gas which would enter Romania through the Nabucco project. Petrom did not decide the location of the deposit and for this project it is willing to take into account partnerships with various Romanian and foreign companies.

Petrom's Executive Director Mariana Gheorghe declared, quoted by Mediafax that some operational deposits will be build in the future. She added that currently the company was analyzing potential locations.

Romania's current storage capacity for natural gas totals some 3 billion cubic meters and are operated by Romgaz and Gaz de France.
