Radulescu obtained 24 votes of the total 43 expressed votes while Berceanu received only 11 votes. According to sources, Radulescu was endorsed by Blaga. Radulescu was encouraged by Blaga to run for Senator on behalf of district 3 of Bucharest even though he was the leader of the PDL organization in district 5.
