Rome Mayor Gianni Alemanno declared in a press release remitted to HotNews.ro that City Hall will help a young Romanian raped by an Italian citizen. He condemned the act of violence and added that this proved that delinquency has no nationality.
According to the Italian press, a Romanian immigrant in Rome was raped by a 39 years old Italian citizen on Thursday. The aggression took place at a call center in Trieste. The young girl was cleaning the call center at the time.
Il Messaggero reads that the Romanian girl rejected the Italian man but he insisted and pulled a knife, thus forcing her to sexual intercourse. The presumed aggressor was immediately arrested and charged of rape.
