A group of British researchers monitoring Beijing's air quality were compelled to cease their activity and close down their official website where they published their main conclusions on the air quality of the capital city.
The Cambridge Environmental Research Consultants was thus obliged to cease their research at the request of the Chinese authorities. According to the data issued by the British researchers, the pollution level ranges between 100 and 150 which exceeds by far the safety level, below 100. Beijing authorities declared that the city pollution level is at 95.
