The Russian gas deliveries towards Europe, through Ukraine, were reopened on Tuesday morning, at 9:00 AM (Romania time), after Prime Minister Vladimir Putin green-lighted the move on Monday night. Still, the Gazprom president, Aleksandr Medvedev, said that the transit system will only be tested, in the first stage.
The Russian gas will reach the European consumers within 24 to 36 hours, said the European Commissioner for Energy, Andris Piebalgs, during a press conference in Brussels, Reuters informs.
