Romania and Bulgaria are not ready to join Schenge in March 2011 like the two states hope, Foreign Affairs ministry's spokesperson declared, quoted by Novinite. The announcement comes to confirm France's intention to block the two countries from joining Schengen.

France prefers to wait until the Summer of 2011 to take a decision to allow Romania and Bulgaria to join Schengen, Bernard Valero said on Friday. He said Bulgaria and Romania have every chance to join Schenge but not all requirements are met.

He said an impartial administrative and judicial system, with sufficient means is vital to allow EU policies to work and ensure citizens have access to all benefits and opportunities offered by the EU.
