In the report published on Tuesday by Freedom House, measuring the quality of the democracy, Romania involved since the past report, the major problems being recorded in the Justice independence and the way the Government fulfilled its goals.

* The civil society suffers from lack of funds and is vulnerable in front of politics
* In 2007, the press continued its trend, becoming the property of a few magnates, while the editorial content is affected by defamation campaigns and blackmail.
