Swine flu claims its first death in Europe: a Scottish woman

A 38 year old Scottish woman from Glasgow is the firs European victim the swine flu claims. The woman was hospitalised starting May. She died on Sunday, The herald informs.

The woman delivered her baby prematurely last month. Doctors say she was in a precarious health state, and this could have contributed to her death, besides swine flu.

This is the fist life H1N1 claims in Europe. there are currently almost 500 patients infected with H1N1 in Scotland.

The number of deaths caused by the swine flu has reached 146, and the figure fir infections nears 30,000.
