Three Romanian and Bulgarian customs officers were arrested in a common operation in North East Silistra, a passing point between Bulgaria and Romania. The operation was coordinated by Roman Vassilev, deputy prosecutor in Sofia and involved both Romanian and Bulgarian investigators, Novinite informs.

The three were arrested on December 19, according to the Bulgarian Interior ministry. The investigation established that the three customs officers, working together, repeatedly requested bribe from citizens passing through the customs.
