Medical personnel who had access to the intensive care unit at the Giulesti Maternity, on Monday night, when the fire took off in the unit were celebrating their colleagues for Saint Mary's day, Romanian news agency Mediafax reads, quoting medical sources.
According to them, nurses who were responsible to attend the babies were celebrating in another room.
The estimates is that it took 20 minutes for anyone to notice the fire , this means that for 20 minute, the intensive care unit was not supervised.
The video released by prosecutors portray the people on the hallways that start to run towards the unit when they notice the fire.
