IMF Romania chief of mission Jeffrey Franks declared on Friday that he already discussed with President Basescu about the problems caused by the accidental vote in the Chamber of Deputies and considers that the chief of state will act accordingly. He said that the talks with the President were held two days ago.
The Chamber of Deputies adopted on Tuesday, two laws which rule a 5% VAT for basic food products and no taxation for pensions below 2,000 lei. President Basescu declared that he will expressed an opinion on the matter when he will read the laws.
