Dutch Parliamentarians requested the Dutch Social Affairs minister Henk Kamp to come up with a solution for farmers that have to face a work force deficit after the minister proposed that Romanian and Bulgarian temporary workers should not receive working permits claiming that Dutch farmers need to turn to their co-nationals for seeking workers.

Netherlands currently has 500,000 people able to work but who are living off social benefits, the minister claims according to DutchNews.nl website. Farmers however claim that the minster cannot change rules in the middle of the season and threatened to sue. Farmers need about 2,000 temporary workers to harvest the crops.
